Near famous vineyards, UDR has got here splendid vineyards and a famous wine cellar.
The surroundings are very picturesque, you can make beautiful trips from here. From Moldova-Noua the road continues to Moldova-Veche, an important port on the Danube.
Oravita - Ilidie – Valea Nerei (Nera’s Valley)direction
From Răcăjdia,a road leads to Ilidia (very old settlement, a former significant fortress , the center of a Wallachian district with an important part in the history of Banat,today a beautiful,prosperous village with 1628 Romanian inhabitants) at Socolari ( a beautiful mountain village , with 1233 Romanian inhabitants ,situated in a very beautiful region), which is the starting point for trips to Valea Beiului and Valea Nerei. (by carriage or on foot from Oravita you can travel on a much shorter way through Ciclova and Ilidia.)
From Socolari,firstly, the road leads to the romantic ruins of an old castle, to Ochiul Beiului, a small mountain puddle with crystalline water and a few steps from here we find are beautiful waterfalls of Bei. Going then to the right on Valea Beiului we reach the Nera river , where Bei flows into . Here we find a beautiful road that belongs to UDR,that through the picturesque valley of the Nera river gets up to Damian,UDR’s forest range. From here following the Nera river up on a path carved into the rock, one can make a beautiful trip to Lacul Dracului another mountain puddle,then through Sopotu-Nou ,to Bozovici. From the place where Bei flows into the Nera river a path carved into the rock,takes you to Sasca through interesting tunnels.
